Since then, it has become a symbol of Australia's gold-mining heritage and the country's rich natural resources.The reverse design of the 2025 Australian Gold Kangaroo features two adult kangaroo in the outback. One can be seen relaxing in the foreground, while a hopping Roo can be seen in the background. Additional features include the word KANGAROO, mint mark P for the Perth Mint, as well as the date, weight, and purity of the coin.The 2025 Kangaroo also marks the 2nd issue to contain the portrait of King Charles III, featured on the obverse.
